23 years of teaching science (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physical Science) in private, public district and charter schools for students between the ages of 4-40.
I have also taught the following classes for HS credit: Health, Technology, Life Skills, Economics, Statistics, Culinary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry.

B.A. in Biology from Vassar College
M.A. in Education from Cal State LA.
Philosophy
I wanted to create an online platform where I could provide a personalized learning experience for students. I build relationships with my students so that I am able to encourage them to develop their weaknesses and use their strengths as a pathway for success.
I create challenging and engaging curricula that not only allow students to develop knowledge and academic skills as defined by the Common Core State Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards, but also to participate in their education through an integrated, problem-based curriculum. The science classes I teach are centered around environmental science, which provides the base for learning about geosciences, chemistry, biology, environmental justice, the history of social justice, and the politics of environmental policies. My goal is for students to identify environmental concerns in their own communities and feel empowered to work towards positive change.
